   Frootie Flavors Frootie Flavors

The Trantastic Power Trio known as Frootie Flavors  is a serious black light Rockalicious creative dress up freak out party band featuring Dirt Doogan on guitar & vocals, Vnes on drums & vocals and Jamie Amos on bass & vocals.  Being Trans identified, they prefer to
recognize people for their unique personal qualities and not their gender, race, age, sexuality, nationality etc… They are committed to raising awareness and being positive role models for the Trans community and beyond.  That is why this band’s motto is “We love to party with everybody!”  Come dance, sing-along and have a fun frootie time with this playful Santa Cruz band!  They will Rock you!  For more, visit www.frootieflavors.com.

    Horizontas Horizontes

Horizontes is a prevention based support/social group for Spanish speaking Latino men having sex with men. The goals of the group are to raise self-esteem and self-respect, provide social and emotional support and explore topics that relate to its members.  Horizontes is very active and has been involved in the community since its creation. Horizontes has been a role model for youth and young adult queer and questioning men in the Tri County Area. And, boy, can they dance…

Twilight Vixen
Twilight Vixen Revue

Twilight Vixen Revue, the Bay Area's favourite Showgirl Troupe, dazzles audiences with their repertoire of classic Broadway favorites and jazz standards, and their unforgettable line-up of all-queer starlets. The dancing girls include the mischievous Daisy Delight, the precious Penny Whistle, the shameless Scarlet Bottoms, and the sultry Cherry Lix. Don't miss the troupe's latest acquisitions: the deadly Veronica Velvet, mistress of the Down Under; the exquisite Bella Peppers, queen of the toeshoes; or the sensational Lola La Mae, a goddess with a shake that just might break you. Twilight Vixen Revue will be performing today with their favorite faux-queen, Anita Cocktail, a true Sho-Ho with sass and pizzazz, helping to make San Francisco laugh, one martini at a time!

Cheer SF Cheer San Francisco

CHEER San Francisco, which began in 1980, is the longest running LGBT-identified cheerleading team in history, and returns to Santa Cruz Pride for the 15th time. CHEER SF also performed many years for A Gay Evening in May and cheered on the Banana Slug women's basketball team at UC Santa Cruz in the past, as well.  The world-traveled team has a primary mission of raising monies through performing to help agencies providing direct care services for people with HIV/AIDS and cancer through their unique CHEER FOR LIFE campaign.  The CFL beneficiary for SC Pride is WomenCARE. To learn more about CHEER SF, visit them online at www.cheersf.org.

Luv Taxi LuvTaxi

LUVTAXI is a Latin beat band that blends traditional Latin music rhythms and styles with the modern beats & vocal harmonies of POP, ROCK, FUNK, HIP-HOP and WORLD BEAT to perform original music in English & Spanish. The band's energetic performances make them a must to see and hear. Their first album "VIBE TRIBE GROOVE", a nine song CD, expressed their outlook on life, love y familia in the Chicano Soul music style. LUVTAXI just released "TAXI DE AMOR" an 11 song CD that features the songwriting talents of Frank Lizarraga, Roxana Damas and Jamie Zuniga performing songs that forcus on social issues & political themes. Frank and Roxana are joining us at Santa Cruz LGBT Pride.

Jerry Brown Jerry Brown

Jerry Brown (aka Jerry.Brown:Rhythm.Art.Poetry aka JBRAP), has performed before at Santa Cruz LGBT Pride as a member of the homohop group Deep Dickollective, and is joining us this year as a solo artist. A Multi-Media-Renaissance-Vocalist-EmCee--4D--Perfomance Artist, Jerry is humble, active and ornery, making his home in West Oakland and using his dual degrees in Mixed Media Social Change Arts from UCSC to create and encourage positively artistic, engaging, academic environments and safer spaces for the young people. R.A.P. began self-training in a variety of expressive arts (metal clay sculpture/photography/illustration/graphic design) and became involved in theatrical productions, dance and political arts events, working with the Expressive Arts Guerrilla Improv Theater Troop (JUICE) and with Don Williams’ African American Theater and Rainbow Troupes. To be impressed with more of his achievements, visit http://jbrap10.tripod.com and soon www.JBRAP.net!!!

Nedra Johnson Nedra Johnson

Nexdra Johnson is a singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist born & living in New York City. Her unique style of guitar playing is unmistakably informed by her many years as a professional bassist and keeps her live solo acoustic performances more on an R&B tip then what one might expect of a "girl with a guitar." Nedra's self-titled sophomore release is a 2006 OUTMUSIC Award (OUTSTANDING NEW RECORDING - FEMALE) winning, joyful mix of R&B, funk, rock and gospel. Nedra has performed internationally at jazz, blues, pride & women's music festivals as a solo artist and a tuba player/vocalist; whether in front of an intimate audience such as at New York City's Rockwood Music Hall or a large festival audience of 7000 like Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, Nedra has the ability to perform with both a strength and a vulnerability that makes each listener feel like they are getting to know her on a personal level. Her thoughtful choice of words reflect not only who she is, but speak to the heart in a way that mirrors emotions many find difficult to express, allowing her a fan base diverse in ethnic, cultural and spiritual background.
