VOLUNTEER
For a Day, a Season, or Ongoing
PARADE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
Contingent Helpers - Ongoing through June. Assist parade coordinator. Assist with the recruiting of parade contingents. Organize and monitor people to fill out forms to be a contingent. Make sure contingents pay their fees.
Barricade Monitors - Need 40 people - Day of Parade. Monitor the barricades throughout the parade.
Festival Volunteers:
Booth Greeter / Scheduler - Day of Festival. Greet and direct booth vendors. Ensure set up and take down times, times as well as cars out of the area.
Booth Follow Up / Collection of Fees - Day of Festival. Interact with vendors who are selling merchandise. Collect fees at end of festival.
Stage / Entertainment - Ongoing through June. Help organize and arrange entertainment during the Festival on Abbott Square and in the MAH / Locust Street Stage
Youth Space Volunteers:
Youth Space Coordinator - Ongoing through June. Coordinate the Youth Space for SC Pride Parade and Festival Day. We have a space, we just need an organizer.
Youth Space Organizer - Ongoing through June. Assist the Coordinator in organizing the Youth Space for June 5, SC Pride.
Youth Space Helper - Day of Event. Help with checking in youth, help with activities as needed.
SC Pride Fundraising:
Fundraising Assistant - Assist fundraising coordinator. Reach out to potential sponsors to solicit sponsorships.
Pride Merchandise: Organize and implement Pride merchandise to see during the year and in the spring.
SC Pride Marketing and Social Media:
Content Creator - Ongoing throughout the year. Assist the Pride marketing coordinator - Help with creating content for social media posts via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Graphic designer / art creator - Ongoing throughout the year. Create graphics and art for various SC Pride events throughout the year.
Pride Instagram Coordinator / Facebook Coordinator: Organize posts and follow up on comments and follows from others.
